Bye bye Laptop.

My laptop died last night at 22:37.
I took it upstairs plugged it in & went to the bathroom. When I came back my room was smokey and smelt horrible. I just ran around with it shouting for my Dad to help but alas it was too late.
I need to recover my hardrive which I hope doesn't cost lots as there's 6 years worth of photos on there!
I was going to get a MacBook Air anyways but now have to struggle to find the remaining money (which I would have got for selling my laptop).
So blogging will be a little irregular for a little while!
Hope everyone else is having a better day than me!

Christmas Party Outfit from

In the 4 years I've worked at one of my jobs I have never been to a Christmas Party. This year I plan on getting on IT. I've even booked the next day off work so me & my friends can eat bacon sandwiches in our PJ's & watch films all morning and hopefully we can rope our friend Chloe who will be freshed face into delivering us Mcdonalds at lunchtime (I know she will read this so this is us offically asking) ;)

I am going to let Missguided help me with my outfit this year. A wonderful site with some beautiful clothes with even more amazing prices. Now I have got a selection of their dresses on the way to my house for trial but I must only pick one. I've added a few extra dresses I loved to this list in case you need some help picking one for a special occasion.
1 - £39.99
I love the print, colours and sequins. Just not sure if I would get too hot with all that gettin' low and what not! Oh and I'm not sure if shoulder pads would be my friend. I like the fact this dress is the statement piece so you don't need any jewellery and can wear simple black shoes with a clutch.
2 - £34.99
<3 the studs. I think this dress would be best for girls with a more athletic body type as it will give you lots of curves on top! I would wear lots bracelets with this instead of a necklace as you would want to keep the focus on the studs!
3 - £16.99
I think this is one of my favourites. I think it's quite classy but still party-esque with the split up the leg! Definitely a dress for taller girls like myself!
4 - £26.99
Such a lovely colour and I think it would suit most body types!
5 - £39.99
This is the prettiest dress ever!
6 - £34.99
Again loving the baroque print I think it's a really elegant print that makes any outfit worthy of going out!
So they are my top picks, I spent hours trying to choose my favourites out of Missguided's 1000+ dresses. As you can see I numbered all the dresses and would love it if every viewer would comment and say which one is their favourite so I can make an informed decision!

My Stocking Filler Guide, Part 2 Online

I got carried away this is really a stocking filler guide anymore, like I think these things are really cool so just decided to share them with you.

I love ASOS but I kinda do not like to receive clothes as presents as I feel your personal style is well...personal. I really like beauty gift sets as it gives you a chance to try out new brands and mini versions of products and then buy the bigger ones if you enjoy them! I love the Ted Baker make up bag (I have the shopper version which my friends got me for my birthday & LOVE). I also think the Cath Kidston earrings are a good present for any woman as they can save them for a special occasion.

There's only one reason I want to move out; so I can spent my life savings on A lot of my friends are starting to move in with boyfriends and I think so of the above are great little presents to make their places homey! I think a bottle of champers and the bucket would really make a lovely present and I love the allotment tuck box for any keen gardeners!

My Stocking Filler Guide, Part 1 High Street.

I always find it so hard to pick things when my Mum asks me what I want for Christmas as she would rather give me something I want rather than something she guessed at which sits under my bed for a year *cough Dad*. One thing she always gets 100% right is my stocking. Yes I am 22 and I still get a stocking. It's my one main advantage of living at home still. My Dad thingks me and my 21 year old sister are too old for stockings but in the spirit of Christmas and all that, we tell him to shut up.

I'm a big fan of little presents which are fun, nerdy and just a bit silly really and love when a present can be used in everyday life. I receive a lot of beauty related items so it's nice to have a little game or something to do when Mum's cooking the turkey or Dad's playing on his new gadget!

High street stores have really upped their game this festive season with a wide variety of cheap to medium range gifts which can go into stockings or make wonderful little presents for friends. Being a girl, I have aimed this post at girls as I really don't have many men to buy for! I have taken my top picks from Topshop and River Island gifts I would love to give (and receive)!

The beige travel wallet is actually bigger than it looks and can hold your passport, travelers cheques & currencies instead! That little £8 thingy you see is something you put on a table to stop your bag going on the floor; kinda nifty if you have a designer bag! I really like the studs too as you could save them until summer and go to town on some denim shorts!

Topshop Stocking Fillers

Topshop have gone all retro game and 80's inspired this year, I <3 the notebook and PacMan post its! Topshop have got hundreds of gift ideas and they really are worth checking out.  Another favourite I didn't add was a desk set where things like a stapler are shaped into Tetris pieces. A good present yes, but you may be a serious victim of office envy.

All these products are available online as well as selected ones being in store (Topshop Oxford Circus has pretty much all of their gifts in one store!)

I think I will get an online shop version done for early next week as that is how I will do a lot of my shopping this year!

November Glossybox

I haven't really been ecstatic with a Glossybox lately and I tend not to write about the contents of it as there are hundreds of similar posts to mine but I really loved this box so thought I would jump on the bandwagon.

The theme of this months box was Christmas stocking fillers. It was designed to help you think of things you would like to put on your Christmas list or to help you pick out the perfect present for a friend/family member.

Ayuuri Indian Rose Face Cream - £4.95 for 200ml

I am so lazy when it comes to moisturising my face always have been, always will be. I know this is very naughty but I just cleanse, tone and go. First off it the size of tube blew me away. This will honestly last you like a year. It's cheap and cheerful & feels rich on your skin and takes a good minute to skin in (to me this is always a sign of something very moisturising). It says to use this in the morning but I like to put loads on before bed as the jasmine (yum) scent sends me straight to sleep!

Alison Claire Natural Beauty Mango Body Butter - £15 for 200ml

Another body moisturiser Glossybox? I now have enough for the next 2 years! Not too much to say about this - it doesn't smell synthetic like some fruit smelling body lotions but I must say I would rather splurge on either the Body Shop's Body Butter or Soap & Glory products!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - £38.50 for 75g

This has a strange concept, it is a powder which you apply to wet hands, rub together and use like a exfoliator. Glossybox has introduced my to Dermalogica products and I must say they are great to use when you break out. The may not be luxurious or rich but they really clean your skin. £38.50 though? Nah I don't think so.

Burberry Body Eau de Parfum - £75 for 85ml

Mmmm...Perfume. Love getting samples to try and I like this a lot. Do not buy...

Nails Inc Porchester Square - £12 for 10ml

I love Nails Inc products and this is the perfect nude colour. Good job!

Really love all these products and I hope this is just a taster of how amazing December's Glossybox is going to be!

Benefit They're Real

I ran out of mascara and there was a pretty good deal in John Lewis where I could pick up the above mascara for £12. I find that drug store mascara's do the job on my eyes but thought heck it's only £12.

Benefit's They're Real mascara is somewhat of a cult product and even the packaging makes some pretty hefty claims. I can be such a skeptic sometimes wanted to see if I could prove or disprove these claims.

Benefit start of by saying "They're Real lengthens, curls, volumises, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won't smudge or dry out!"

The tube itself it pretty cute and I like the metallic finish! I hesitated buying this mascara as I really do not like plastic brushes. I just find they do not volumise my lashes as much as I would like.

Without mascara on my eye

With one coat of Benefit They're Real Mascara
Does the product live up to it's claims?

94% saw dramatic length and volume - Most definitely yes to the length it makes my lashes look so long but volume wise I would say it makes them more separated - false eyelashes give a fluttering effect!

90% saw base-to-tip curl - I have very curly eyelashes and have never just an eye curler in my life so I don't notice much different using this mascara compared to others.

94% saw visible lift - I agree with this claim. I feel my eyes look wider and this is due to the mascara lengthening out my lashes!

100% saw long-wearing results - This is the shining result of this product. Some mascara's need touching up after about 4-5 hours but this stays put all day. It doesn't smudge at all or run if your eyes water. I don't think this is a waterproof mascara but it's really good considering. Saying this it does make it a bit of a pain to remove but it's not too much of a problem!

A very small part of me wanted to not like this mascara so I could go back to using my cheap and cheerful one but damn it it worked it's magic on me and I am now converted. Thanks a lot Benefit, you've done it again.

I'm majorly tired after working all weekend & haven't been able to take any photos in the daylight to put on here tonight (even though I have so much to review boo). Last night I settled down to X Factor & a film with some of the girls and after work today I could not have gotten showered and into my onesie any quicker. Yes! Really gotten into it this year. I prefer lattes to anything else.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner

So I've never dived into the world of lip liners despite being a lipstick over lipgloss kinda gal.

After seeing Rimmels Lip Liner in 063 Eastend snob at a nice £3.99 I though I would give it a bash. I saw this lipliner on Sammi from Beauty Crush and it looked beautiful on her. Having a similar skin tone I thought it would suit me too.

The colour on my skin is a my lips but better and a little pinkier and I really like it especially under all my nudey pinks I wear (MAC Angel & Hue I'm looking at you). But that's perhaps the only thing I do like about it.

I would 100% prefer this product if it was a pencil and not a twist up liner. It snaps so easily and I feel  like I've lost half the contents inside. I find the texture to be a little chalky but if you thoroughly exfoliate and moisturise your lips you can make it work.

I can't really give an expert opinion as this is my first one but I think lip liner may be one of those products you should splurge on for maximum staying power and to get the most out of your lipsticks!
Does anyone have a lipliner recommendation for me to try?

I would say New Years but let's face it I need a fabulous dress when the clock strikes 12.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Photo Diary 02.

Me & my sister on our birthday night out - Can you tell who is more drunk?

John Lewis Beauty Hall on Oxford Street - First time I've seen it since it's been done! May have purchased one or two goodies!

Crashed around my Aunty and Uncle's whilst in London, this is their very naughty dog Reggie!

Wedding Fairs at work mean lots of treats for the staff!

Spelled out my name to the Starbucks man - This is what he wrote!

Me & 2 friends attempted to make toffee apples. I say attempted because they weren't quite right.

I saw Wicked! at the theatre! It was amazing!

Managed to get some tickets to Radio 1xtra Live and saw Trey Songz along with some other acts! Gawwwd I love him.
November has been a pretty manic month for me so far but I love life when I am busy (although still love my bed as I am always on the go!) I've also been thinking about my future quite a bit this month - I really want to get the ball rolling and make something of myself. I am a very ambitious person and right now have nothing holding me back from doing ANYTHING! So I am seriously considering moving down to London, all alone. I want a good job which will help me to learn & grow as well as have some serious fun after work & I think London will be a massive yet good lifestyle change for me! I never went away for Uni and feel it's time for me to go off and do something on my own!
If anyone has made the move from a town to a big city or had/having a similar feeling to myself I would love some advice as this isn't just something I can do tomorrow!
